Historical Social Research/Historische Sozialforschung is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering social history. Articles are in English or German. The journal has official links to several academic associations.[1]
The journal was established in 1976 as the newsletter of the QUANTUM Association under the title QUANTUM Information and got its present title in 1979.[1] Since then it has been published by the Center for Historical Social Research (Cologne, Germany).[1]
The journal is abstracted and indexed in SocINDEX, Social Science Citation Index, Scopus, and Sociological Abstracts.
